Department members participate in the Division Street Elementary School S.T.E.M (Science Technology Engineering Math) Expo on February 4, 2013.
Pizza Day at Caroline Street School
On Thursday, June 7, 2012, several officers visited second grade students at Caroline Street Elementary School. The students asked many questions about what a police officer does and were given the opportunity to see and feel much of the equipment an officer carries with him/her everyday.
Read Across America Day 2013
On March 1, 2013, Sgt. Shane Crooks and Patrolman Matt Wilson took time to read to students at the Saratoga Independent School as part of Read Across America Day.
On Saturday, October 20, 2012, Captain Michael Chowske was on hand at the Skidmore Stables for the NY Special Olympics Equestrian Events. Captain Chowske presented the participants with their awards on the medal podium.
This Thanksgiving. department members Jason Cadoret, Laura Emanatian, Eileen Cotter and Travis Carter - along with the City of Saratoga Springs Risk and Safety Director Marilyn Rivers and Assistant Fire Chief Peter Shaw helped prepare and serve dinners to seniors at the annual holiday meal at the Saratoga Springs Senior Center and Franklin Community Center.
