Rescue Operations

The Saratoga Springs Fire Department's mission is to protect life, property and the environment of those who live, work, and visit our city.

The Operations of the Saratoga Springs Fire Department is to provide daily response to a variety of emergency and non-emergency calls.  These calls include, fire suppression, emergency medical service (EMS), hazardous materials mitigation, search and rescue, auto accidents and many others, through a combination of team work, dedication, compassion and education.

Firefighter personnel respond to fires, EMS and other emergencies as required, to protect the citizens of Saratoga Springs and their property.

Firefighters are dual Certified Firefighter/EMTs or Firefighter/Paramedics. This allows them to provide an added service such as Advanced Life Support Services and patient transportation by ambulance to area hospitals from Glens Falls Hospital to Albany Medical Center.
