SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY. – Please be advised that Mayor Meg Kelly has announced that City Offices and the Recreation Department will be closing today March 7, 2018 at 1:00pm, in an effort to encourage employees and residents to stay off the roads during this winter weather event.
Department of Public Works Commissioner Anthony “Skip” Scirocco declared a snow emergency, starting at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, and extending through Friday, March 9 at 10:00 p.m. Vehicles should be moved to a plowed or cleared space when a snow emergency is declared. Residents are required by Saratoga Springs City Code Section 225-57 to move their vehicles to a plowed or cleared area during a snow emergency. Vehicles on alternate side parking streets should continue to adhere to the posted signs indicating which sides allow for parking each day, but should move their vehicles to cleared spots on the appropriate side when possible.
