Saratoga Springs Moves Towards Reopening
Contact: Public Safety Commissioner Robin Dalton (518) 587-3550 ext. 2631
The City of Saratoga Springs and Capital District Region have been cleared by the state of NewYork to begin phase 1 of re-opening our local economy beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, May 20th. As we begin our recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, the city is here to provide guidance and resources to help assist our business community. As we move through each phase of reopening, we will continue to monitor the public’s health and safety.
New York State requires each re-opening business to develop a written safety plan outlining how its workplace will prevent the spread of COVID-19. Businesses may develop their own safety plan or use the template below provided by the state. The Public Safety Department is available to give guidance or feedback to anyone in the city requiring assistance with their business’s plan. This plan does not need to be submitted to a state or local agency for approval but must be retained on the premises of the business and must be made available to the New York State Department of Health (DOH) or local health or safety authorities in the event of an inspection.
This is a significant step forward for our city as we being to recover from the COVID-19 outbreak. We look forward to moving through all 4 phases of reopening together, successfully and safely.
