[ARCHIVED] Mayor Kim announces new structure for City Council meetings

At the May 16th city council meeting, Mayor Kim proposed a new set of guidelines for city council meetings. The structure of the City Council meetings will be as follows,
As of the June 6th City Council meeting:
Start time: 6pm
 - Consent agenda
 - Presentations
 - Supervisor's Agenda's
The City Council will progress through as much of the above items as they can.

Not before 7pm
- Mayor's Recognition's
- Public Hearings
- Public Comment
After public hearings and public comment, the regular order of the meeting will commence and there will be a second public comment period at the end of the meeting.


The City Council explains that in order to ensure every person who wants to speak is able to and so the City Council can complete necessary work, this is the most efficient structure for the City Council meetings.
