The City of Saratoga Springs will hold a 9/11 ceremony to remember and honor the lives that were lost and those who served. The ceremony will take place on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 8:30am at High Rock Park, 112 High Rock Avenue, Saratoga Springs. All members of the public are invited and encouraged to attend.

Commissioner of Finance, Minita Sanghvi, noted, “We must never forget the courage of those who served. It is up to us to honor the sacrifices our first responders made in those terrible days following the attack.”

Mayor Ron Kim adds, “We hope everyone can join us in remembering the bravery and self-less actions taken by those during and after the tragic event. This is a time to reflect and come together to shine a light on extraordinary acts of courage.”

The ceremony will feature speakers Kathleen Shaw, who responded with NYS Urban/Technical Search and Rescue team NYRRT-1, and Lieutenant Tucker Bonow of the Saratoga Springs Naval Support Activity.

In case of inclement weather, the City will move the ceremony under the High Rock Park Pavilion. For any questions, please reach out to Jessie House, 518-587-3550 ext. 2522.
